The Brown Sports Conversations club was founded in 2018 to bring together sports fans from around the Brown University community and promote interest in sports in general. We wanted to be a place where die-hard, casual, and newcomer fans could come together to enjoy the culture and spectacle of all types of sports. Activities included organizing get-togethers like playing Around the Horn, throwing watch parties, and of course lots of banter. We also started a website: https://brown-sports-convos8.webnode.page/ to post articles, and started a podcast available on Spotify, Apple music and Soundcloud.

I was a founding member of the podcasting team alonside my podmates David Coady, Samuel Rhee, and Ethan Jobson. The podcast was my first venture into the world of media. I learned how to speak clearly yet passionately, and be comfortable talking in front of a microphone. We learned the challenges of setting up recording equipment, how to behave when recording, and through the COVID-19 quarantine period, the challenges of doing pods over zoom. We interviewed several Brown University athletes, including Shayna Mehta from Women's Basketball, and Abby Carchio from back-to-back-to-back the Ivy League Champion Women's Soccer team. Interviews present their own challeng in preparing engaging questions for the interviewees, making sure they had a good experience while also creating high quality content for our listeners.

I'm proud to say we definitley improved over time, and learned a lot about sports media and media in general. By the fall of my senior year I was running into other students who were listeners and had no interaction with the club, which was amazing to hear.
